This blog follows the trials and tribulations of our young band trying to make a career in music.

Nine to Chain Music Video Shoot…

Camera Speed…Beep…Beep…Beep…Boop…Action!  These are sounds that echoed throughout the American Legion building in West Seattle over and over again during our music video shoot for our song, Nine to Chain.  From the incredible actors on set to the artificial sunlight beaming in the windows, I can speak for all of The Crooks when I say it was an experience we will never forget.

Recording our music helps us to immortalize our sound.  Shooting a music video, however, breathes a certain amount of life into our music.  It provides alternative perspectives on a song.  It showcases real human emotions.  It provides an opportunity for our music to be featured through other forms of media.  The band couldn’t be more excited to be able to have a music video of our own!  We especially can’t wait to share it with all of you!

The Crooks would like to thank: Ben Rapson, the director on set and a new great friend, Bret, Stefan, and everyone on the Fueled Creative team, all of the incredibly talented actors on set, and last, but certainly not least, our extras who were able to share this special event with us.  You know who you are and we thank you all!

The Nine to Chain music video is set to release in April.  Stay tuned for more details of our video release party in the coming months.

Also, don’t forget to check out our nation-wide Nine to Chain campaign and feel free to share your stories anonymously.

Cody Beebe & The Crooks will be performing at The Hard Rock Café in Seattle on Saturday, February 12th, 2011.  This will be a monumental show for us being that it is not only Cody’s birthday, but also the band’s two year anniversary!  See you there!
