“Curl like bacon!”
“Man, that sure did curl like bacon!” Chris Green exclaimed after biting into a hearty piece of turkey bacon. This is the first of hopefully many quotes to be remembered on our two and a half week tour through the Northwest. We started the tour off yesterday evening traveling from Seattle to Olympia, playing The 4th Ave Tav. For a Thursday we had a pretty good crowd including a few close friends and family.
Over labor day weekend this past year we met a very nice couple. Chuck and Toni heard us play a show at the Old Schoolhouse Brewery in Winthrop, WA and were instant fans and soon became good friends. Since that weekend they have attended a few more shows of ours around the west side of the state, bringing with them several friends to each show. Being a struggling band we can’t always afford to stay in hotels at every stop and often we rely on our family and friends. Chuck and Toni offered their home to us for our first night on the road and we took them up on it. They arrived at the 4th Ave Tav around 8 with a few friends and we all had a great night together playing music and enjoying the company of great people!
Thank you Chuck and Toni for your selfless hospitality, hot showers, and great food!
