This blog follows the trials and tribulations of our young band trying to make a career in music.

Tis The Season to Give Back…

Some people call it “home of the stampede!”  Some may call it “Omakistan.”  To the Crooks, well…it was just Omak.  There’s really not much more to say about the quaint little town besides maybe, “stay off the road on an icy Friday night.”  Or, perhaps, “don’t expect to find replacement parts for your amp if it goes out on you.”  Regardless, Cody Beebe and The Crooks can officially check Omak off their list of “places to play in Washington.”

Being in a young band, we try to book as many shows as possible to be heard by as many ears as possible.  This means that we look outside the box of traditional venues.  We also know the importance of giving back to the community; especially during the holidays.  On Friday, November 19th, The Crooks had the pleasure of giving back to the community of Omak.  We were invited to play The fifth annual community benefit concert, Jammin’ Against Hunger.  Learn more here.

We were honored to be a part of the community benefit concert and took notes on all the dance moves displayed by the audience!

It was also the Hozzington’s debut run with the full band across a couple of snowy passes.  She delivered the band valiantly to the metropolis of Omak and proved worthy of adventures to come this winter!

Cody Beebe and The Crooks will be opening for Vicci Martinez tonight at the High Dive.  Show starts at 9pm!
